It totally makes Senz

Discovered by our newest ideas merchant, Boris, this has got to be the Daddy of all umbrellas. Man’s traditional best friend has been displaced. At least in the rainy old UK anyway. Move over Fido, it’s all about Senz…

Senz, from the Netherlands, have invented the ‘storm proof’ umbrella. Thanks to a solid understanding of aerodynamics, the original Senz umbrella can withstand winds of up to 100 kmh (60 mph) without inverting. As you can see in the video, your average brolly will pack up at around 20 kmh abandoning you to the mercy of the elements, typically resulting in the common London affliction of miserable-drowned-rat-itis.

As anyone who knows me will tell you, I have suffered this calamity on no small number of occasions and take an avid interest in products claiming to solve this issue for me forever. So, my intention is to procure a Senz umbrella, test it in the impending rainy Autumn and find out whether this is a big idea in theory only or, as I hope, also in execution.
