Fed up of Lent yet? We are. Correction; we were fed up of Lent ages ago (when it started. Why would I want to give up anything pleasurable for any sort of meaningful amount of time?)
Even if you’re not and restraint is still the order of the day, why not allow yourself to imagine the reward once Easter is finally here and all is forgiven…
This Thursday at the Kipferl restaurant in Islington, the Austrian National Tourist Office is going to be holding a live prize draw for the chance to win a year’s supply of chocolate. So if you’re at a loose end after work (between 5.30 and 6.30) on Thursday, pop into the Kipferl – there’ll be free Austrian nibbles and drinks – and you could be walking away with the promise of buckets and buckets of Aztec gold.
Provided by Mirabell and Milka, there is sure to be plenty of mozartkugeln for marzipan lovers and good, old fashioned milk chocolate for the rest. If you’re not sure where the Kipferl is, take a look at this map. Alternatively, follow the dirndls from Angel tube station and you won’t go far wrong.
