A brilliant idea and innovation in communications from fast food chain, Wimpy: Braille Burgers.

15 extra special Wimpy hamburgers were made as part of an influencer relations campaign to promote its new Braille menus in South Africa.

Taking the timeless marketing adage ‘the medium is the message’ to the letter, Wimpy chefs used sesame seeds on the tops of the burger buns to spell out ‘100% pure beef burger, made for you’.

E-consultancy blog reports, “Wimpy’s introduction of Braille menus is particularly timely, since McDonald’s recently made headlines in South Africa after a blind woman was turned away because she tried to enter a restaurant with her guide dog.”
