Big Ideas can be recycled ideas

Everyone remembers the Sony Bravia advert which shows 250,000 multi coloured balls bouncing through the streets of San Francisco. A great ad made by Fallon.

Well, great ideas can be used more than once. In fact, in some instances it would be a waste not to make the most of a big idea by reminding people of it. Imitation is, after all, the sincerest form of flattery.

So, Sony UK has developed a Wimbledon campaign parodying the Bravia ad, featuring lots of tennis balls bouncing through Wimbledon village.

It’s clever because the nostalgia created by the reference to the previous popular TV advert is only enhanced by the stark environmental contrast between Wimbledon and San Francisco.

No doubt, it’ll be a hit (no pun intended).
