All about the Idea has been lately working on a project of a particularly science-fiction nature: Looking after Warwick University‘s science and engineering exhibition, Warwick on Wheels, and the venue has now been confirmed as the UK’s biggest consumer electronics event, the Gadget Show Live.
Warwick on Wheels will feature the very latest in research and innovation from Warwick University, including a fascinating display of 3D printing, scanning and ‘the sound shower’, situated in the invitation only and newly extended Future Technology Zone, a select showcase of the most futuristic technology industry professionals have to offer.
3D printing, which is capturing the imaginations not only of industry professionals but also celebrities such as Chris Evans who recently marvelled at its capabilities on his breakfast show on Radio 2, is comprised of highly accurate laser scanning and Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM).
Dr Greg Gibbons, head of WMG’s Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Group, commented: We’re very excited that Warwick on Wheels is coming to the Gadget Show Live. Warwick has a long history of innovation and we’re looking forward to getting children interested and involved at the world’s most popular technology trade show.
