#Tweetpie – foodies share for those with no food

For those of you who tweet, here’s an idea for you. (For those of you who don’t tweet, maybe you should.)

Tweet Pie is a charitable campaign bringing together the world’s foodies and tweeters in aid of the vast numbers of people who are in need of basic nutrition.

The idea is that people tweet their recipes with the hashtag #tweetpie – the challenge of course being that each recipe (also called twecipes) must be provided in under the 140 character limit.

The top entries, found using the hashtag #Tweetpie, will feature in the world’s shortest recipe book (called Tweet Pie); the proceeds of which will go to FoodCycle, a charity that creates nutritious meals out of surplus food for those in need.

Get tweeting – it’s great craic and for a good cause.
