How do you communicate the experience of high definition television to an audience watching a regular, SD signal?
The designers at Neon and Brothers and Sisters have embraced this problem by creating enchanting micro moments, using photographic stills and hundreds of detailed layers that explode into stunning, fragmented frames. Unbelievably, not one component of these sequences originate from moving image.
Last year, celebrating their 20th birthday, BSkyB threw £15m into their Sky+ HD advertising pot, selling us the idea that HD is the future and now accessible to all. During the height of their marketing campaign, all conceivable channels were peppered with ‘fragments’, from eBay to your local cineplex. Make sure you watch the latest spots above.
If only all TV ads looked so schlick. Take a peek at Neon’s website for more moving magic.
